We use both ETCO Theatre and ETCO Acrobats during streets performance to draw people's attention and finally pass a message intended once they have pulled enough targeted crowed.
From March, 2020. we used our acrobatic team to pass out COVID - 19 sensitization messages to people in various informal settlement communities in Kibera, Lang'ata, Mukuru and Mathare among other places in Nairobi. This was during the partial lockdown that was being implemented in Kenya. Once the lockdown was lifted, we started reaching out to other informal settlements in other cities out of Nairobi.
Street art is also a source of income to the artists and some of them use it as a source of earning living. It can be made better by proper support and passed to many
generations to come. However, The challenges involved are; lack of enough funds to buy all the required materials, training space, Artists' transportation and an appreciation fees (allowance) after the street performance.
Street art can be used for marketing purposes as well for businesses and other relevant information to a certain target group.
