Kibera Slums Community Vaccination Day 2

Saturday at Undugu Grounds, nine in the morning, and the queue moves with weekend patience. It is Day 2 of the community COVID-19 vaccination — running through the month on Saturdays and Sundays — and today’s turnout encourages us. People are choosing protection over rumour; each jab is a small vote for reopened markets, football matches, and weddings without fear.
We are happy that more neighbours are ignoring the disinformation that costs lives. When someone chooses the vaccine, they choose the mama selling sukuma by the road, the boda guy at the stage, the teacher who needs a classroom full of healthy children — it is protection and prevention woven together.
Join the next weekend session — bring someone who has been waiting for a nudge.

ETCO's Kibera Slums Tour
We thank Tim Ruff and Stephanie for joining ETCO’s Slum Tour in Kibera—walking with us, listening to residents, and experiencing the strength and reality of our community firsthand.

FLOOD SUPPORT APPEAL – KIBERA
Heavy rains brought flooding to Kibera’s riparian areas—destroying homes, claiming lives, and leaving families in urgent need. ETCO appeals to well-wishers for food, clothing, bedding, medical support, and other basics, while urging everyone to stay safe around fast water and contamination risks.
