Another day for Environmental Champions

Morning light catches plastic on the water before it catches your eye — a bottle spinning lazy in the brown current behind someone’s house. In Kibera, caring for the environment is not a poster on a wall; it is a decision to show up with a sack and a shovel when the smell is bad.
We welcome anyone who wants to walk that path with us. Our work with Victory Farms is not only about feeding children — it is also about ground that stays a little cleaner because neighbours refused to look away.
We do not promise perfect rivers. We do show up, again, with whoever is ready.
Ask at the ETCO office for the next cleanup date in your zone — we will find you gloves and a task that matches your back.

Easter Feeding Program
Thanks to Tim Ruff and Stephanie, ETCO hosted a warm Easter Friday feeding program for children at our new office—bringing joy, a good meal, and community together in Kibera.

ETCO's Kibera Slums Tour
We thank Tim Ruff and Stephanie for joining ETCO’s Slum Tour in Kibera—walking with us, listening to residents, and experiencing the strength and reality of our community firsthand.

FLOOD SUPPORT APPEAL – KIBERA
Heavy rains brought flooding to Kibera’s riparian areas—destroying homes, claiming lives, and leaving families in urgent need. ETCO appeals to well-wishers for food, clothing, bedding, medical support, and other basics, while urging everyone to stay safe around fast water and contamination risks.
