Week 46 of 2023 - Feeding Program

Week 46 arrived with the usual Saturday honesty: smoke, spoons, children comparing whose ugali broke cleaner.
Our feeding programme is the heartbeat of ETCO — joyful work, even when the economy outside feels like a tight belt. We keep inviting people in: volunteer, partner, sponsor, donor — bring your hands or your M‑PESA, bring your presence.
Some weeks are smooth; some weeks the numbers surprise us. Week 46 reminded us that community is not only the people who eat — it is the people who show up to cook, wash pots, and sweep after.
Special thanks to Kenton Price and the Capital Whiskey Club for helping last Saturday land well. Blessings to everyone who gave quietly so plates stayed full.
Holidays stretch hunger; if you can, fund a Saturday or join us in person. The children will not offer you a grant report — they will offer you trust.
Economic pressure is not a headline here; it is rent, school shoes, and the price of cooking oil. A strong Saturday does not fix everything — it keeps dignity in reach while families fight the longer battle.
Kenton and the Capital Whiskey Club helped carry part of that load — not with noise, but with support that turned into plates. That kind of partnership is how Week 46 became more than a number on a calendar.
If you missed this one, don’t worry — Saturdays return. Bring a friend, bring a question, bring your real self. The programme is not looking for perfect heroes; it is looking for faithful ones.

Kikuyu Rotary Club Team site visit - partnership
It was a pleasure hosting the Nairobi Rotary Club Connect’s Yumbya Nyamai, who also represented Ecologists Without Borders (EcoWB), alongside the Kikuyu Rotary Club Presidents—past, current, and incoming—George Ngotho, Patrick, and Marion respectively. We truly appreciated your visit to the site and your interest in the upcoming waste management project.

Efforts: Inputs - Waste Management Project Strategy
Soon, just very soon. It will all make sense. Efforts, sleepless nights.... Stress, strategies, failures and minor successes... One day, I'll look back and say, Yes, I created a *System* Generation System... Me and the people I serve will be grateful... I'll be happy to have served my purpose in this world. 😊😊

🌍 World Earth Day Highlights
We had an incredible time commemorating World Earth Day alongside amazing partners and community champions. It was a pleasure connecting with the Peace Pulse 254 team—Mr. Patrick, Madam Grace, and Mr. Immanuel—as well as the Nairobi Rivers Commission (NRC), led by Community Lead Commissioner Madam Eva Muhia.
