1st ETCO Trip for Kids - Nairobi National Museum

Thirty children boarded the matatu with packed snacks and questions — some had never walked a museum hall before. Exposure is not luxury; it is how curiosity learns its name.
We covered transport and food so no parent had to choose between fares and ugali that evening. Inside, history sat beside biology: bones, beads, birds pinned with labels the children tried to read aloud.
The crocodile glass drew a collective step back — then laughter, then brave faces pressed close. Snakes earned a squeal and a sermon from the oldest boy about what he would do if he met one outside (nobody was convinced).
On the ride home, plans already: the next trip should be bigger. We are looking toward Nairobi National Park — more seats, more permissions, more sponsors. If you want to fund transport for the next outing, write to etco-kenya.org and mark it “field learning.”

Easter Feeding Program
Thanks to Tim Ruff and Stephanie, ETCO hosted a warm Easter Friday feeding program for children at our new office—bringing joy, a good meal, and community together in Kibera.

ETCO's Kibera Slums Tour
We thank Tim Ruff and Stephanie for joining ETCO’s Slum Tour in Kibera—walking with us, listening to residents, and experiencing the strength and reality of our community firsthand.

FLOOD SUPPORT APPEAL – KIBERA
Heavy rains brought flooding to Kibera’s riparian areas—destroying homes, claiming lives, and leaving families in urgent need. ETCO appeals to well-wishers for food, clothing, bedding, medical support, and other basics, while urging everyone to stay safe around fast water and contamination risks.
