We hosted the International Rotary Club of Ipswich team, led by environmental lawyer Chris and his wife Jane, together with former Rotary Club of Kikuyu president Hon. George Ngotho and Rotarian Yumbya, for a visit to our project implementation sites in Kibera, Nairobi.
The visit gave us the chance to walk through our work on the ground, review progress on our environmental and community development projects, and talk through implementation priorities for the months ahead. Conversations like this matter because our partners bring an outside perspective on what is working and what needs to change.
We also visited the Nairobi Rivers Commission, where Commissioner Dr Loice Kipkorir of the Ngong River Committee hosted us. We spent time exploring how ETCO's community led river restoration work can align more closely with the Commission's wider Restoration Framework for Nairobi's rivers.
We are grateful to our partners for the continued engagement, the honest conversations, and the shared vision. Through strong partnerships like this one, we can keep pushing toward communities and rivers that are healthier, cleaner and more sustainable. Karibuni tena!
