Happy New Year 2022

New Year’s morning at ETCO, and the courtyard does not feel like January — it feels like a reunion. More than four hundred and fifty people came through: children in the majority, then teenagers, youth, and adults leaning in to say Happy New Year over steaming food.
This day was made possible by Willow Oak Advisory (willowoakadvisory.com), partners who understand that the first meal of the year should not be a luxury for some and a worry for others. Sharing ugali and greens on 1 January is our way of beginning together — bellies warm, voices loud, hope served in portions everyone can reach.
Children have always been our major focus — but on a day like this, the whole compound remembers we share one road home. Want to sponsor a community meal or partner like Willow Oak did? Get in touch — we will walk you through what works on the ground.

Easter Feeding Program
Thanks to Tim Ruff and Stephanie, ETCO hosted a warm Easter Friday feeding program for children at our new office—bringing joy, a good meal, and community together in Kibera.

ETCO's Kibera Slums Tour
We thank Tim Ruff and Stephanie for joining ETCO’s Slum Tour in Kibera—walking with us, listening to residents, and experiencing the strength and reality of our community firsthand.

FLOOD SUPPORT APPEAL – KIBERA
Heavy rains brought flooding to Kibera’s riparian areas—destroying homes, claiming lives, and leaving families in urgent need. ETCO appeals to well-wishers for food, clothing, bedding, medical support, and other basics, while urging everyone to stay safe around fast water and contamination risks.
