Children Feeding Program continues

The city had been tense — protests, tear gas remembered in throats, parents returning home with smaller envelopes than the week before. When the cost of living spikes, children eat less and pretend they are not hungry.
So we kept Saturday sacred: pots on, tables wiped, a line forming before noon. Sharing food is our stubborn way of saying we are still here together — neighbours, volunteers, a child who only knows your face from the serving spoon.
Nigel Arensen visited us that season — walked through, asked direct questions, listened. We are grateful when friends cross from curiosity to showing up; it widens the network we need when flour prices jump overnight.
The programme continues because people send KSh when they can and show up when they cannot. See etco-kenya.org for how to sponsor a Saturday or bring a team visit that respects the community’s pace.

Easter Feeding Program
Thanks to Tim Ruff and Stephanie, ETCO hosted a warm Easter Friday feeding program for children at our new office—bringing joy, a good meal, and community together in Kibera.

ETCO's Kibera Slums Tour
We thank Tim Ruff and Stephanie for joining ETCO’s Slum Tour in Kibera—walking with us, listening to residents, and experiencing the strength and reality of our community firsthand.

FLOOD SUPPORT APPEAL – KIBERA
Heavy rains brought flooding to Kibera’s riparian areas—destroying homes, claiming lives, and leaving families in urgent need. ETCO appeals to well-wishers for food, clothing, bedding, medical support, and other basics, while urging everyone to stay safe around fast water and contamination risks.
