Prof. Sang David from Maseno University’s School of Public Health and Environmental Science sat with us on plastic chairs and talked plainly — drains, refuse, the way illness travels when waste meets rainwater.
A thriving community needs more than slogans. It needs clean corners, safe paths, and neighbours who agree that the child playing next door matters as much as their own. We mapped where collaboration could turn intention into routine — small habits, shared accountability.
Then Saturday did what Saturday does: we fed children and ran life-skills sessions — negotiation, hygiene, the practical stuff that pairs with a full stomach.

Heavy rains brought flooding to Kibera’s riparian areas—destroying homes, claiming lives, and leaving families in urgent need. ETCO appeals to well-wishers for food, clothing, bedding, medical support, and other basics, while urging everyone to stay safe around fast water and contamination risks.
