Grateful for your support

Some weeks we have long stories — trips, visitors, drama on the stage. This week we have the truth underneath all of it: the Saturday children’s feeding programme runs because people choose, again and again, to give.
Morning at Nyayo Highrise smells of soap and smoke from the jiko. Volunteers arrive with sacks balanced on shoulders; someone jokes that the stairs are cheaper than gym membership. By noon the lane knows we are cooking — a few children appear early, pretending they came for something else.
Your M-PESA notice, your bag of maize, your hour wiping tables — it lands as hot food in a plastic bowl, as a child who stops looking at the floor when they say thank you. Support is not an abstract “impact”; it is oil in the pan and a second helping for a teenager who ate little at home.
We are not polishing a brand; we are keeping a promise to Kibera. When prices jump, you are the reason we do not turn children away at the door.
Stay with us — etco-kenya.org lists what we need this month and who to talk to if you want receipts, a bank route, or a quiet visit to see the queue for yourself.

Easter Feeding Program
Thanks to Tim Ruff and Stephanie, ETCO hosted a warm Easter Friday feeding program for children at our new office—bringing joy, a good meal, and community together in Kibera.

ETCO's Kibera Slums Tour
We thank Tim Ruff and Stephanie for joining ETCO’s Slum Tour in Kibera—walking with us, listening to residents, and experiencing the strength and reality of our community firsthand.

FLOOD SUPPORT APPEAL – KIBERA
Heavy rains brought flooding to Kibera’s riparian areas—destroying homes, claiming lives, and leaving families in urgent need. ETCO appeals to well-wishers for food, clothing, bedding, medical support, and other basics, while urging everyone to stay safe around fast water and contamination risks.
