The objectives were to enhance understanding and practical application of NbS and EbA strategies in urban river regeneration, explore the integration of HRBA in environmental initiatives, build skills in participatory planning methods, and enable stakeholders, especially in informal settlements, to contribute to the regeneration and management of Nairobi's rivers.

We marked the World Environment Day with a vibrant and impactful community-led celebration held at Canaan Estate Community Hall and the Nairobi Dam–Seafar Apartments area. Introduction The meeting was convened to witness the official launch of the Nairobi Rivers Regeneration Project by President Dr. William Ruto. The initiative aims to restore Nairobi’s rivers through multi-sectoral interventions, including waste management, sanitation, infrastructure development, and social housing.
