ETCO took part in Pro-Peace Kenya, a learning and networking space led by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) and the European Union—with ECES as implementing partner—to strengthen leadership and conflict-management skills among electoral stakeholders.

Happy to be back
After a break, our feeding programme is back—and the ETCO team is overjoyed to cook, serve, and share laughter with children again, with deep gratitude to everyone who keeps this lifeline possible.

Bad Day... Fire Tragedy.
A fire near Soweto East Resource Centre left dozens of households displaced. ETCO moved quickly to stand with affected families—coordinating donations of food, clothing, and essentials as the community begins to recover.

Satisfaction, Contentment & Happiness
Around the ETCO office, children play with the assurance of a warm meal waiting—small moments of contentment that show why our Saturday feeding programme is central to how we care for Kibera’s families.

Happy New Year 2022
We rang in 2022 with neighbours at the ETCO offices—sharing a New Year meal with more than 450 children, youth, and adults thanks to the generous support of Willow Oak Advisory and everyone who believes in community-first celebration.

Christmas of Sharing.
Christmas at ETCO meant gathering neighbours young and old around a shared meal—gratitude, laughter, and the quiet joy of seeing our community celebrated on a day that matters so deeply.

Another round of Covid-19 Vaccination
We held another COVID-19 vaccination round for community members still waiting for a first dose—offering Moderna or AstraZeneca—and we remain ready for follow-up days so neighbours can protect themselves and each other.

On with the fight against Covid-19
ETCO reminded neighbours to get their second COVID-19 dose at Undugu Level 2 Hospital—first doses were available too—because consistent vaccination protects families and speeds the path toward safer gatherings and economic recovery.

Deeper Focus into Nairobi Dam Conservation Project
ETCO is taking environmental stewardship in Kibera seriously—with Nairobi Dam and its tributaries at the centre—while welcoming Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) investments that restore the dam and invite local participation.

Nairobi Dam Conservation Project Discussions
ETCO is convening conversations—locally and internationally—about restoring Nairobi Dam and its tributaries so that communities receive cleaner, safer, more sustainable water ecosystems.

Kibera Slums Community Vaccination Day 2
On day two at Undugu Grounds, weekend COVID-19 vaccinations continued—with encouraging turnout as more neighbours chose trusted information and protection over rumours.

Community Vaccination Day 1
Day one of community vaccination mixed honest questions with brave choices—because higher vaccination coverage can help reopen sports, events, and livelihoods that lift families out of poverty.
