Mazingira Day - Community Clean Up

As we continue working towards long-term, sustainable waste management solutions in Kibera and other informal settlements, we must not overlook the immediate challenges facing our communities. These include unclogging blocked waterways, conducting regular community cleanups, and educating residents on proper waste handling and disposal. On 9 October 2026, ETCO, in partnership with LLWF, ABC, KAGO, KCERT, Kibera Eco-Care and the County Government, joined hands in a community cleanup exercise to clear blocked waterways and promote a cleaner, healthier environment as we prepare for the anticipated El Niño rains.
